HARVEST OF
THANKS:
A PRAYER FOR THANKSGIVING

In humble gratitude, we gather near,
As autumn whispers, and skies are clear.
With hearts aglow, our voices rise,
To thank the Lord for blessings, a grand sunrise.
For daily graces, both big and small,
We lift our thanks, our spirits enthral.
In fields of plenty, and tables spread wide,
We find your love in each joyful stride.
Oh Lord, our shepherd, our guiding light,
We thank you for grace that fills our night.
In moments bright, and shadows deep,
Your watchful eyes, our souls do keep.
For loved ones near, and friendships dear,
For laughter shared, for every tear,
We thank you, Lord, for the love we find,
In every corner of our heart and mind.
Yet, as we gather in this grateful state,
We lift a prayer for those less fortunate.
For in our joy, may compassion grow,
To touch the hearts of those who know
A world less kind, a harsher plight,
Oh Lord, extend your merciful light.
To those in need, in pain, in despair,
Wrap them in love, show them you care.
May Thanksgiving be more than a feast,
A time to share, a time to be at peace.
To reach beyond our walls and borders,
And be your hands to those in disorder.
Oh Lord, we thank you for this day,
For blessings seen and those tucked away.
In gratitude, our spirits dance,
For your love and grace, we give thanks.
