WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE NATION AND THE WORLD?
The artist Huong is a remarkable woman and has such an amazing positive
outlook. Her main goal is to inform and inspire the public through art
and to empower the people to share their thoughts, feelings and express
themselves on canvas, no matter their point of view." She is very open
minded, she would say :- you don't have to like the president "
The one day exhibition in 10,000 sq ft. venue is free and will be open
to the public sponsored by the non-profit Organization Peace Mural
Foundation, the exposition includes a diverse program of special events
and civic dialogues on theme of art, education, spirituality, public
policy and citizen action for the advancement of a culture of peace.
" I will dedicate this exhibit of the Peace Mural to all the peace
lovers and makers around the world," Huong said. The Peace Mural is
designed to be highly interactive experience for those who see it. It's
far more than an art exhibit. It's inspirational and provocative, deeply
educational, spiritual and politically charged as it resonates the hope
and vision for peace within all society.
A young journalist at the time of the Vietnam war, Huong climbed aboard
one of the last refugee boats before the fall of Saigon in 1975, wearing
only one shoe and carrying her infant son in arms. She first settled in
Alaska where she discovered her innate talents in painting and quickly
brought her national and international acclaim.
This cathartic and memorable work, which focuses on the peace to
overcome the pain divisive and hostility of the nation after 2016
election as seen by the artist through the lens of her own experience
led to the creation of the cathartic mural that express the voice of
America throughout the world.
" AMERICA IS NOT ANYTHING IF IT CONSISTS OF EACH OF US. IT IS SOMETHING
ONLY IF IT CONSISTS OF ALL OF US "
